Qiuck and touchless objects’ identification

RFID technology

RFID technology (Radio-Frequency Identification) is objects’ identification based on airwaves. Datas are saved on special chips fixed to a person or a thing. It is more modern and comfortable alternative to barcodes. That is why it has gained popularity and wide usage.

RFID system consists of three parts and can have different forms and shapes:

  • Electronic system responsible for storage and datas processing, generating radio signal
  • An aerial sending and receiving signal
  • A chassis – a plastic card, paper, thin shrink-wrap, a container

A RFID reader optionally butli-in datas’ collector Lumar One generates radio signal which makes tags send an answer and included datas.

There are several options of RFID technology. The main difference is frequency of action, the range of reading, speed of datas’ transfer, tolerance to interference and errors handling.

Collector Lumar One – radio frequency range 13,56 Mhz (Hf – high frequency) or UHF.

UHF frequency allow the reading and recording up to two meters, guarantee stable communication between a reader and a tag. This standard works well in industry thanks to its resistance to outer interference and datas’ reading speed.
